My 20-years of painting, mostly oil on canvas, is founded in engineering, not fine arts. The path to picking up a brush was learning geometry and graphing in school, doing system diagrams at work, lots of doodling in too long corporate meetings, and finally entering a store for a blank canvas. Having a non-zero amount of autism, a common thing in engineering, my work shows the world through that lens.Â
The work is typically strictly composed and emotionally close to neutral. It is unashamedly beautiful in an austere way. I try to give the things I paint an aura of thoughtfulness. I hope that this calm speaks through the paintings.
My site begins with pieces that are being shown and where (if any). This is followed by FIGURES paintings and a button to show other pieces, FLOWERS and button, LANDSCAPES and button, ANIMALS and button, then a button for past SCULPTURES and woodworking. These categories are very broadly defined.
Commissions welcomed.
Enjoy…
